Hotline Bling 40`s Makeover

Postmodern Jukebox is an ongoing musical project leading by pianist and arranger Scott Bradlee, who takes contemporary pop and rock tunes and fashions new arrangements for them that cast them in an unpredictable variety of musical styles from the past.

Their latest cover is Drake`s Hotline Bling in a 1940`s makeover! Listen and tell me what you think.

This post was second to none concerning excitement and arousal because the music, dance, dress, lyrics and everything else is an extremely tasteful modernization of a 1940’s period original.

I love this song because well, it’s incredibly catchy, so needless to say I love the cover of ‘Hotline Bling’. The original will always be the best, but this song is a perfect song to cover. These ladies did a very unique take on the song.

Thank you so much for sharing this, Pinar! I love Postmodern Jukebox by Scott Bradlee and my favorite is Creep. I almost like it better than Radiohead’s original… I also like Rude although I hated the original version by Magic. It’s funny how some cover songs are just better than the original ones.
